The objective of this workshop is to introduce kids to Computer Science (CS) fundamentals through unplugged activities. This workshop will teach students about algorithm, control structures, sequencing, and other topics related to CS without the use of computers. Sessions will be presented in a form of hands-on activities based on the constructivist approach wherein students are given challenges to uncover ideas on their own, and develop skills in problem solving, abstract thinking, and logical reasoning.

Workshop Fee: Php 2,800

Age Requirement: 7-9

Sessions: 10 (1 hr & 15 mins/session)

Time: 8:30-9:45 AM

The objective of this workshop is to introduce coding while creating stories around Cubetto. This workshop will teach kids the basics of coding through adventure and hands-on play. Concepts like algorithms, queue, debugging, and recursion will be introduced in a simplified manner. As Cubetto fosters learning in key developmental areas that go beyond coding, kids develop specific outcomes such as communication, physical exercise, socio-emotional, mathematics, and logical reasoning.

Workshop Fee: Php 350/session

Age Requirement: 4-6

Sessions: (1 hr & 15 mins/session)

Time: 9:30-10:45 AM

Schedule: Saturdays starting April 14

BEFORE WORKSHOP

  • Confirmation:  Parents will receive a confirmation letter/email containing a detailed info about the selected workshop. Other important info like venue, house rules, attendance requirement, will also be included.

DURING WORKSHOP

  • Robotics Toolkits: Students will be introduced to different kits in our workshops while learning about various concepts. Our kits include Lego EV3, Makeblock, Gogoboard, and other STEM kits.
  • Printed Worksheets: Most of sessions will require students to perform series of steps in order to solve a problem and design a solution for something. Activity worksheets will be given to record and track their progress.
  • Learning Resources: Videos and e-books will be provided for the students to learn more about specific topics.
  • Online Assessment: Students will be given the opportunity to try, make mistakes, and to learn from those mistakes.
  • Supplies and Materials: Most of the supplies/materials will be provided during the sessions, but we sometimes require students to bring recyclable items.

AFTER WORKSHOP

  • Certificate: Completion certificate will be provided.
  • Token: As a sign of appreciation, we usually give out a customized tangible item at the end of the workshop.
